RARE *ISADORA* FROLICKING FROG POND ( Vintage French
Bakelite Jewelry “Isadora” Necklace ): This large Vintage French
“Isadora” Necklace is a truly exceptional piece to add to any
collection. The theme of a whimsical frog and lily pads is extremely
charming. I just love the colors! Made of Galalith (often called French
Bakelite), the graduated round beads range from deep red to soft pale
green and ivory. The large theme pieces are soft green fading into a
deeper green and a soft coral pink gradually becoming a deeper rose
tipped shade. (The true colors are better seen on the photos with white
backgrounds.) This necklace – typical of Isadora pieces – uses big, bold
elements to enhance the incredible necklace design. It remains difficult
to learn very much about the lady herself, but I have heard from some
shoppers who visited her shop in Paris back in the 1980’s. Even then her
pieces were very limited and expensive. Isadora opened her shop in 1975
and designed pieces through the ‘80’s. (Her shop has long been closed.)
The back of this necklace is hot stamped with the Isadora logo and is
marked “Isadora Paris”, “© Isadora 1980”. The catch is a screw barrel
clasp. Isadora always wanted to give her pieces a certain exclusive,
limited production, so that her clientele had the feeling that they were
wearing a rare jewelry piece. I search constantly for a few affordable
pieces that I feel convey the best of Isadora’s work. This is an

CICADA BUZZ ( Celluloid Jewelry Earrings ): Something fun,
just for you! These almost magical, light weight celluloid Cicada
Earrings will create a “buzz” when you wear them. The domed top button
(these are clip-on earrings) is a shimmering bright green, the head and
legs of the Cicadas are brown, the body is an iridescent green and the

JUICY CASCADE ( Vintage Bakelite Jewelry Pin / Brooch ):
Dripping with Vintage style, this free swinging applejuice pin has a
domed, reverse carved bar at the top. (c. 1940) Pale yellow celluloid
chains hold 12 luscious hanging, fully rounded balls of sparkling
Vintage applejuice Bakelite. The whole pin reminds me of a cluster of
grapes or berries. Time has not dimmed the luster of this delightful
dangle pin. The original pin back includes a safety catch closure.
Colorful and appealing, this feminine brooch brings the pulse of the
past into your life. Everything old becomes new again and adds a quick

A PAIR OF TEXAS YELLOW ROSES ( Lucite Jewelry Reverse Carved Bangle
Bracelets ):
You don’t have to be from Texas to love these Lucite Yellow Rose
Bangles. The detailed flowers and leaves are reverse carved and hand
painted in vibrant colors. Both bracelets are set with topaz yellow
rhinestones embedded in the outside of the bangle. The top bangle is
flat with 4 stones inset in a diamond pattern. The other bangle has a
rim on both edges and is set with groups of 2 rhinestones. You may
purchase 1 alone or the 2 as a set. They are fresh from France and make

& WHITE DELIGHT ( Vintage Lucite Bangle Set ): The color pink seems
fresh and trendy again. Since there is no pink Vintage Bakelite, this
set of Vintage pearlite Lucite bangles may be just the thing you are
looking for. A set of six bangles combine to give you an arm full of
shades of pink. (There is no orange in these bangles, only pink, rose
and white.) At the center are two pearlite bangles, one white and one
pink. Two thin Vintage pink bangles are set with rhinestones and on the
outside are two pearlite bangles that alternate dashes of pale pink and
rosy pink. The set is light weight and silky on your wrist. Try
something different – assert your own style. These 1950’s bangles are

SWINGIN’ ON THE MOON ( French Bakelite Jewelry Pin ): Whimsical and charming, this French Bakelite Pin shows the figure of Pierrot literally swinging from the moon. Made of Galalith, one of the oldest plastics used, it looks and feels like Vintage Bakelite. Galalith has a milk base and is often referred to as “French Bakelite”. The clown, Pierrot, comes from French Pantomime and was popularized by fashion legend, Elsa Schiaparelli, in the 1930’s. The face in the moon and all of the details of Pierrot are hand painted. This stylish clown actually swings freely from the moon on thin metal rhinestone pavéd bars. Perfectly delightful and one of my favorite pieces. Heat set pin back with a safety clasp. SEXY BETTY BOOP ( French Bakelite Jewelry Pin / Brooch ):
Retro and ageless, this sexy French Bakelite pin of Betty Boop
captures the animated cartoon character as she naughtily reveals her
rose garter. Few cartoon images have retained their popularity as well
as Betty has. With her overt sexual appeal and a body modeled after Mae
West, Betty was a hit with filmgoers in the 1930’s. Despite having been
“toned down” by the Hays Code of Decency, Betty Boop returned in the
1980’s and now her image is more popular than it has ever been. This pin
has hand painted. It captures her famous eyes and lashes as she raises
her skirt to offer you a “sneak peak” at her gold rose garter. Those
lips – those eyes! Her earrings and bracelets have also been hand
painted in gold. (The gold color is hard to appreciate in our photos.)

& Earrings Set ):
Just what you’ve wanted – an opaque cherry and black Zigzag Bangle
and matching clip earrings.(Rare to find a matched set.) Now you can

it is made of Evan’s trademark phenol resin formula. If you like the

A pin guaranteed to cause conversation! These saucy crossed legs have
hand painted red heels and inset rhinestone garters. Made from Galalith,
one of the oldest plastics used in jewelry, it has a milk base, but
looks and feels like vintage Bakelite. You will really enjoy this eye
catching pin! It has the deco look of the ‘20’s and ‘30’s. One clever
way to wear it is pinned upside down over a pocket or peeking out from
under a lapel, so that it appears that the legs are emerging from a

BRAVO TO FRENCH HANDS ( French Bakelite Jewelry Pin ): These
beautifully manicured hands are made of Galalith, known as French
Bakelite. French Bakelite has the look and feel of Bakelite, but does
not test as American Bakelite because one of its ingredients is skimmed
milk. Each vintage design "drama queen" hand has a "V" shaped ring
decorated with 3 rhinestones. A large colored stone flanked by
rhinestones forms a fancy cuff bracelet. The top hand has a purple
colored stone in the center of the bracelet, the second a blue stone,
the third a pink stone and the forth and final hand has a red stone.
Each hand has hand painted red polished nails. The pin backs are heat
set and each has a safety clasp closure. Add one of these conversation

CRESCENT MOON PIERROT ( Vintage French Bakelite Pierrot Pin ): Whimsical and charming, this Vintage French Bakelite Pin shows the figure of Pierrot seated in a crescent moon. (c. 1940) I love the figure of Pierrot and have many of them in my personal collection. Made of Galalith, one of the oldest plastics used, it looks and feels like Bakelite. Galalith, however, has a milk base and is most often referred to as “French Bakelite”. One of its advantages is that it will never change colors as Bakelite does. This clown, Pierrot, comes from French Pantomime and was popularized by fashion legend, Elsa Schiaparelli, in the 1930’s. All of the details of Pierrot are lightly etched and hand painted. There is a riveted trombone clasp pin back, indicating it dates from at least the 1940’s. In as season of statement pins, this is one you won’t see often. It is one of the more unusual versions of Pierrot. Perfectly delightful and one of my favorite pieces! The ivory color looks well on any color and will brighten your day in any weather. TASTY GREEN APPLE JUICE ( Vintage Bakelite Reverse Carved Bangle Bracelet ): I have held onto this Vintage Bakelite Bangle for a long time and enjoyed wearing it mixed with cream corn or brown bangles. Green Apple Juice is a rare color; plus this bangle is deeply reverse carved. The carving is embellished with green hand painting from the back, producing a two color effect. (c. 1940) The design has 3 large stylized flowers that are linked with curved vines and leaves. Colorful and impressive in depth and carving, this reverse carved Vintage Bakelite Bracelet would be a great addition to any collector’s stack. I see bangles like this go for high prices at auctions. Condition: Very Good. There is a light scuff mark near one edge, not seen except on close inspection. The usual light scratches appear – they are vintage, too! The price reflects the light scuff. THE ALLURE OF PERSIA ( Vintage Bakelite Jewelry Scimitar Brooch /
Pin ):
Visually striking, this Vintage Bakelite Scimitar (c. 1940)
brings to mind the “Tales of the Arabian Nights”. This fearsome weapon
evokes the exotic spirit of desert brigands and a green oasis. An
example of the Bakelite “Persian” design series, this brooch is “a book
piece” seen in many of the Bakelite books. Mysterious and seductive,
this pin is quite grand in scale. The blade is a deep marbleized green
and the handle is opaque black with hand carved black accents. The hilt
of this “killer” brooch is embellished with brass studs and rosettes.
There are two free swinging chains that add additional menace to the
look of the curved blade scimitar. The one piece riveted pin back has a
safety clasp. Prepare to be noticed when you wear this exotic and
unforgettable Vintage Bakelite Treasure. Think of the tales you can

BOW WOW! ( Brad Elfrink Vintage Bakelite Bulldog Brooch / Pin ):
My favorite contemporary Bakelite designer, Brad Elfrink, hand
carved this delightfully whimsical sleepy bulldog resting in his red dog
house. Brad uses only Vintage Bakelite to produce his one-of-a-kind
works of art. This is definitely a pin for dog lovers. You bulldog
owners wont’ be able to pass this one up! The house is carved of red and
black vintage Bakelite and a marbleized off-white is used for the dog.
His teeth are white Bakelite inlay; his opened eye & nose are inlayed
black Bakelite. The back has a nickel silver safety clasp pin component
secured with rivets. Brad has carved his name and date, “6.7.7”, on the
back. A true original by an artist of growing reputation. Condition:

Here is a tested Vintage Bakelite deeply carved Bird Brooch that is a
real Beauty! (c. 1940) The color is between a tasty butterscotch and a
light caramel. The patina of time has made the carving stand out,
accenting the dynamite detail. Resting on a leafy branch, this large

CONNOISSEURS PASSION ( Vintage Bakelite Jewelry Bangle Pair ):
Bakelite connoisseurs have a passion for rich and luscious colors. These
two Vintage Bakelite bangles are heavily carved in a running leaf
pattern. (c. 1940) The deep carving and thick walls enhance the colors
and increase their value. The top domed bangle is a color I will
describe as a deep rust/orange (not a bright orange). The bottom bangle
is a delicious milk chocolate that enhances the rust shade of the other
bangle. An extremely pleasing combination, these two beauties look
terrific as a pair. Toss in a butterscotch or a green and create a
totally different look. I like to by my vintage bangles in pairs or sets
because they are instantly wearable and you are not stuck with singles
that never seem to look right with anything. Wear this striking pair and
you will instantly express your creativity and enthusiasm for the best

wear. They are vintage, too! The brown bangle has a light scuff and a
