COLLECTOR’S CHOICE ( Vintage Bakelite Jewelry Clamper Bracelet ): From
my personal collection, I am offering this stunning hand carved Vintage
Bakelite floral clamper bracelet. The bracelet closes in the front at
the center top of your wrist. The marbleized translucent rootbeer color
glistens and gleams with life. The hand carved flowers are all slightly
different, as you would expect in a Vintage Bakelite bracelet. I love
the pattern on the closure – it leaves the center with a graceful
slant. The hinge is really tight with no traces of rust. The only reason
I am parting with this beauty is that it no longer fits my wrist. So you
ladies with small wrists will benefit. Clampers are the answer to your
prayers and this one is a real treasure. A collector’s dream!
Condition: Excellent. Size: 1 1/4” wide, inner opening 2 3/8 inner
opening, inner circumference 6 1/4”, 1/4” deep. Will

THE BLACK STALLION ( Vintage Bakelite Jewelry Horse Pin / Brooch ):
This handsome jet black steed reminds me of my childhood passion for the
“Black Stallion” books. I still have all of my first edition copies
tucked away. When my friend – contemporary Bakelite designer, Brad
Elfrink – carved this stallion I knew I had to have him. Brad hand
carves all of his original designs using only Vintage Bakelite stock.
One of a kind, this beautiful horse has a detailed mane and tail. His
hooves, mouth, nostril and eye give him a wonderfully expressive look as
he rears up on his back legs or gallops away – depending on how you
decide to pin him. There is a safety clasp pin back and Brad has signed
and dated (8-13-6) this black beauty. If you love horses or great
Bakelite, you will enjoy wearing this highly collectible work of art. I
warn you – Brad’s work is addicting! Condition: Excellent. Size: 2 7/8”

LARGE & LUSCIOUS ( French Bakelite Jewelry Bead Necklace ):
I find this large deep rust French Bakelite bead necklace hard to
resist. It has a vibrant gleam that makes it looks good enough to eat!
Graduated fully rounded oval marbleized rust beads lay at the base of
your neck with a screw closure. When fastened the beads appear to
encircle your neck completely Big, bold and the perfect color to set off
fashion’s favorites – green, orange, brown and even blue. A look
tailored enough for work and, of course, play. Imagine these at pool
parties, a fiesta or a ship cruise. Wear this necklace with Flair! Condition: Excellent. One bead has a few tiny pits on the back, original to the process. This set of Vintage Bakelite bangles combines the traditional Bakelite
colors of marbleized translucent green, creamed corn and cherry red. (c.
1930’s-40’s) The creamed corn bangle has wonderful deep hand carving
and gives the set a “snappy” and smart look. A bold combination of
colors and textures, these bangles are a wonderful match with the “FUN

HIGHLAND THISTLE ( Vintage Bakelite Jewelry Brooch by Designer Brad Elfrink
): You certainly have never seen a Bakelite Thistle Brooch! I have the good
fortune to know contemporary Bakelite designer, Brad Elfrink. Brad hand carves
all of his original designs using only Vintage Bakelite stock. Each pin is one
of a kind. This classy thistle pin has a rich, marbleized emerald green base
with inlayed, laminated pinkish- lavender Bakelite blossoms. The green Vintage
Bakelite is thick and deep enough to have curly ends on the leaves. This pin is
constructed entirely of vintage materials, including the polished brass safety
clasp pin component and the brads attaching it to the back. Brad has signed and
dated (2-9-6) this exquisite example of Scottish heritage. I am certain that
Brad’s work will become collector pieces. I warn you – his work is addicting!
This unique thistle brooch would be smashing on a black velvet blazer.

BLACK BOWTIES & BULL’S EYE DOTS ( French Bakelite Jewelry Bangle Bracelets ): A dramatic retro Bakelite look is evident in this trio of multi-colored bull’s eye dots and bowtie bangles by contemporary designer Judith Evans. These bangles have a base color of dramatic black with bull’s eyes and bowties in red, yellow, orange and green. Made from French Bakelite without the formaldehyde that causes color changes in Vintage Bakelite, these beauties will always remain the colors that you see. FRENCH PANTOMIME CLOWNS ( French Bakelite Jewelry Earrings ): I seldom see French Bakelite Earrings of real quality. I pounced on this pair of Pierrot heads because of their wistful and romantic appeal. Each face is delicately hand painted and surrounded by a large ruffled collar. The clown, Pierrot, is a well known character from French Pantomime and was popularized by fashion legend, Elsa Schiaparelli, in the 1930’s. These clowns dangle from a black bead and are made for pierced ears. The heads swing freely from a silver toned metal bar. French Bakelite looks and feels like Vintage Bakelite, but it has a milk base and does not test as Bakelite. The French designs are different from their American counterparts. JEWELTONE SHULTZ SPARKLING HEARTS ( Vintage Lucite Jewelry Shultz Pin ): Contemporary designers, Ron and Ester Shultz, set the Bakelite world on its heels with their hand carved Bakelite and Lucite designs. They use only vintage materials that have been polished to bring back the stunning bright color range that originally existed. One of the most amazing characteristics of Shultz jewelry is that, although many of the pieces are clearly inspired by vintage designs, the Shultz’s reinterpret these designs and manage to come up with pieces that are a charming synthesis of the old and new. Hearts were an extremely popular design motif in the ‘30’s and ‘40’s. In this hand made one-of-a-kind Shultz “puffy” heart pin you feel as if you are seeing a completely new design. Actually, these Vintage Lucite hearts have been “Shultzified”. CLOWNING AROUND ( French Bakelite Jewelry Bangle Bracelet ): I have many request for Pierrot themed jewelry, so I am pleased to list this fanciful French Bakelite Bracelet. The deep red marbleized bangle is embellished with three hand painted Pierrot Clown faces. Pierrot is a famous character from French pantomime. He is pictured here with his white ruffled collar and black skull cap. Pierrot is a charming, but often sad, fellow who generally looses out to the stronger pantomime characters. Patriotic themes were extremely popular in the 1940’s. Bakelite seemed
to capture that American spirit and sweethearts and wives wore bold and
bright pins that declared their love and faith in our military. This
Vintage Bakelite Brooch has large red and black anchors suspended from a
translucent red bar. (c. 1940’s) Anchors have historically been the
symbol of hope. These “dangle pins” had a cheerful and optimistic
look – in contrast to the reality of war. This vintage brooch has a
heat set pin back with a safety clasp. Spirit and style in one
delightful nautical beauty. Condition: Excellent. The black anchor may
