DL086	COVETED KENNEL CLUB LUNCHNECK ( Retired Lunch At The Ritz Dog Necklace ): Glamour and glitz from LUNCH AT THE RITZ ! This is the first time I have even seen this highly coveted retired LATR necklace known as the “Kennel Club Lunchneck”. It was worth the wait. Very few of these were made and they were quickly snatched up by dog lovers. A truly spectacular, eye-popping piece of jewelry. The dimensional enamel dogs (from left to right) include a white Scottie, Cocker Spaniel, Dachshund, Pug, large Poodle head, Yorkie, Bulldog, French Poodle, Dalmatian and black Scottie. There are five highly bejeweled circular dog collars with buckles and heart shaped tags that read “Lunch At The Ritz”. Topaz, black & white Austrian Crystals and Czechoslovakian Glass Rhinestones dangle between the decorated enamel dogs and collars. All Lunch At The Ritz pieces are topped with a thick coating of 24KT gold electroplate. The 21 inch link chain has a large, easy to manage hook & ring closure. Outstanding in its entirety, this necklace is the crème de la crème of any one’s collection. I doubt that I will ever have another one. Menu card and LATR jewelry bag included. Bon Appétit ! DL084	COLLECTABLE CELLULOID CUTIE ( Vintage Celluloid Scottie Dog Pin ): These Celluloid Scottie Dog pins have been popular favorites for a long time. Still on its original plaid sales card, this vintage (c. 1940’s) painted Scottie head rests on an ivory lattice background with a bright green painted border. Dressed in his fashionable red bow, this little fellow is a real cutie! Of special interest – the metal C-clasp pin back is marked “FABRIQUE AU JAPAN” and was purchased in Paris. Made for export during the Occupied Japan period, these items are now becoming more difficult to find as they become increasingly desirable to collectors. Condition: Excellent. DL085	AIN’T NOTHIN’ BUT A HOUND DOG ( Vintage Basset Hound Dog Pin ): Basset Hounds always seem to have a soulful look on their face. This vintage (1960) brushed gold tone and enamel pin is no exception. Glittering rhinestones are set in the muzzle portion of the face. Originally used to hunt rabbits, Bassets now seem quite comical with their long ears and short legs. Lt. Columbo (Peter Falk) was often accompanied by his pet Basset Hound as he solved many of his murder cases. This is an unsigned “Capri” design with a safety clasp closure. Condition: Excellent. DL079	A FACE TO LOVE ( Sterling Bulldog Pin ): This striking Sterling Silver Bulldog pin comes from my personal collection. I have had him for 10 years. He is designed with very fine detail, every wrinkle and fold add to the realistic expression of his face. His eyes are set with tiny cabochon garnets. I love the depth of this pin – it’s bold and dramatic. The back is marked “VS, Sterling”. There is a safety catch on the heavy silver back. Attention Bulldog Lovers! DL080	PLAYFUL SKYE TERRIER ( Skye Terrier Dog Pin ): This playful Skye Terrier is caught in the act! He holds his best friend, a sweet Teddy Bear, in his front paws. This delightful hand sculpted pin is made from polymer clay by award winning artist, Sarah Regan Snavely. Ms. Snavely uses no paint, no molds, no mass production. Designed with the standard of the breed in mind with an added touch of whimsy. The pin is signed and dated by the artist. This terrier is cream/fawn with silvery shadings and black ears and muzzle. DL074	JOSEFF HOLLYWOOD BULLDOG DUO ( Vintage Joseff Russian Gold Bulldog Pin ): Here’s a touch of Vintage Hollywood for you Bulldog collectors. (c. 1940’s) Designer “Joseff of Hollywood” never made nondescript jewelry – it always makes a strong visual statement. The leading designer and supplier of costume jewelry to the major film studios, Joseff’s status was partly founded on his development of a visually effective substitute for gold. Known as “Russian gold” plating, its semi-matte copper-gold finish minimized the traditional problem of glare from over-reflective jewelry when filming real gold under powerful studio lights. (See Joseff of Hollywood, page 78-83, in Judith Miller’s book “DK Collector’s Guides: Costume Jewelry”.) This pin playfully depicts two spiked collar Bulldogs attached to the circular frame by a pair of dangling chains. The Joseff stamp is displayed on the back. There is a safety clasp pin back. VJ065	A BELOVED BABY BLUE ( Victorian Jewelry Dog Portrait Miniature Pendant ): This colorful Victorian Portrait Miniature (c. 1890) must have been very special to its original owner. Hand painted on Ivory, it will forever preserve the image of this beloved pet. A favorite with Victorians, this "blue" Spitz / Pomeranian dog was often reproduced in porcelain figurines. Queen Victoria was especially fond of the German Spitz and was instrumental in miniaturizing the breed to what we now know as Pomeranians. The sweet, gentle face is so realistic and the silky blue-grey fur makes you want to reach out and stroke this little pet. It is mounted in a gold wash pendant frame which still retains its original bale. Four tiny pins hold the velvet-backed portrait in its frame. A touching and beautiful collector’s piece. This retired LUNCH AT THE RITZ "Canine Cluster" pin / pendant features a pair of fierce Bulldogs complete with spiked collars. Of course, we know they are really sweethearts. Their heads are 3-dimensional and their bodies have a light dusting of iridescent glitter. Austrian crystals, resins and brass, topped with a thick coating of 24 KT Gold Electroplate put this pin in the winner’s circle. Back has the LATR Logo, a safety clasp and a pendant bale. The center focal point is a handsome reverse carved and painted Wire Hair Fox Terrier. The other dogs are a Scottie and a tiny Dachshund. DL081	PUG ENVY - FAWN ( Kenneth Jay Lane Pug Dog Brooch ): Your pug loving friends will look at you with envy when they see you wearing this stunning Pug Brooch by Kenneth Jay Lane. A retired design and difficult to find, Lane created this pug as a tribute to the Duchess of Windsor. A long-time friend of Lane, she was famous for her love of this breed and often traveled with as many as 5 pugs (and the Duke) to keep her company. This signed brooch is set with foil-backed rhinestones and a faux cream pearl body. A "fawn pug". Black enamel eyes and collar with a tiny pearl drop give this pug such a stylish look. Mirror images, the top triangle has an elegantly gloved hand holding a black leash with a chain suspending two perfect enameled pugs - one in front and one in back. Behind the chain is a white rhinestone hoop and a topaz colored crystal. Each triangle contains a rhinestone collared pug portrait. All of the pugs ears , jowls and tails are 3 dimensional.
