I have been wearing these resin checkerboard bangles since I first saw them. If you like the look and feel of Bakelite, but not the price, this is the jewelry for you. Made from phenol resin - without the formaldehyde that vintage Bakelite contains it won’t change colors! Designer Judith Evans makes these beauties with an inner dimension a bit larger than the vintage Bakelite bangles. They work perfectly for a contemporary larger hand or with the addition of spacers, they will fit a smaller hand. I mix mine with vintage Bakelite and lucite.
