SPRINGTIME APPLES AND FLORALS ( Vintage Bakelite Jewelry Painted Bangles ): I love the unexpected combination of colors in this set of five Vintage Bakelite Bangles. (1930 - 40’s) The center hand painted floral bangle is a translucent marbleized apple green and the two end bangles are an opaque apple green. The other two bangles are purple and gold marbleized with sprinkles of gold dust. Oxidation has produced the brownish hue tinged with mauve. The gold dust sprinkles remain. This is what has happened to all the purple bangles! What a bright and surprising mix of colors. Sunshine and green apples. The whole set is Vintage and passes all tests. Condition: Excellent. Painting is all intact. Size: Entire set 3 1/8" high. All bangles 1/4" thick & 2 1/2" inner openings. Painted bangle 1" wide, purples 3/4" wide, opaque greens 1/2" wide.
