BLACK & BRASS ( Vintage Bakelite Jewelry Carved Bracelet ): This deeply carved and hinged Vintage Bakelite clamper bracelet is a wonderful example of Bakelite at its best. (c. 1930-40) The central floral carved medallion is edged in a fancy brass framework. Two matching floral carvings flank the central plaque. The back of the bracelet is smooth. The raised central medallion is screwed on and the side hinge is tight and closes perfectly. The shine on the black Bakelite makes it look like polished jet. A true collector’s piece. Condition: Excellent. A few surface scratches on the back from loving wear. Size: Brass-edged floral medallion is 1 1/2" in diameter, 1/2" deep. Bracelet front carvings 1" wide, 1/4" deep. Inner opening 2 3/8". The inner opening is oval shaped. For a small wrist only.THIS IS A VINTAGE BAKELITE COLLECTOR’S PIECE
