FROLICKING FISH FUN ( Bakelite Jewelry Fish Bangle Bracelet ): I could not resist this HUGE Bakelite reverse-carved fish bangle. This bangle tests as true Bakelite, but is probably newly made in Asia where there are no restrictions on the use of formaldehyde. It is a really nice pale apple juice color – not one of the darker “ice tea” colored pieces. The exotic fish and bubbles are reverse carved and painted. There is even a tangle of seaweed visible in one section of the bracelet. I love it – you’ll love it. Vintage fish bangles have gone sky-high. Here is a piece you can own without going into debt! Condition: Excellent. Size: 1 1/2” wide, 2 1/2” inner opening, 3/8” wall thickness.
