MYTHICAL WINGED DRAGON ( Vintage Bakelite Jewelry Pin ): Fantasy
rules the day as the dragons come out to play. Mystical creatures have
always been a favorite with collectors. This dark green marbleized,
heavily carved Vintage Bakelite Dragon is a delightful example of an
expert carver’s work. (c. 1940) The dragon has his head down, wings
spread high and his scaly tail curled beneath him. There are even eyes
and nostrils carved on his head. This is a well known “book piece”
and is highly desirable for any Bakelite lover. There is a safety clasp
pin back. Condition: Excellent. Size: 2 1/2” high, 1 1/2” wide,
1/4” deep.
