A PARIS LEGEND ( French Bakelite Jewelry Pin ): This is the Best & Biggest French Bakelite pin of the legendary American exotic dancer, Josephine Baker. She made history in Paris by dancing naked with only a skirt of silk bananas and some ethnic jewelry. Her great charm and bigger than life personality took Paris by storm. This incredible French Bakelite rendering of her in full swing is the largest and most eye-popping pin imaginable. The brass necklace (which swings freely), bracelets and ankle band were signature pieces associated with Josephine Baker. Her facial features and deep yellow banana skirt have been hand painted. There is a heat-set safety clasp pin back. A RARE FIND! Condition: Excellent. Size: 5 3/4” high, 2 3/4” wide, 1/4” deep.
