VANITY MIRROR ( Victorian Mourning Jewelry Pendant ): Very large, low carat gold mourning or sentimental pendant. Contains a circlet of medium brown hair under glass. Below is a plaque for a monogram. An elaborately tooled engraved pattern covers the surface. A beautifully designed border encircles the piece and extends up onto the ring. This may be a sentimental piece because the back is a metal "vanity mirror". The mirrors were hidden on the back side so that a lady could take a peek at herself in private. Condition: Near perfect. 2 7/8" from top of ring to bottom of pendant, 2 1/8" height of pendant alone, width 1 3/4".
