ANTIQUE PUG SALT SHAKER IN SILVER BOOT: Help! I somehow got stuck in this old boot and someone thought I looked so cute that he just left me here and turned me into a salt shaker. Can you believe it! I was probably made in the late 19th century. I have the longer muzzle found in 19th century pugs, but my ears aren’t cropped - a practice outlawed by Queen Victoria (bless her heart). It hurts! I am in very good shape considering my age, but I do have a small hole you can see beside my right paw. (It doesn’t detract from what a cute pug dog I am!) My head comes off to add the salt, but please always remember to put it back on. Who wants a headless pug? I am fairly heavy in weight. (We pugs are called "cobby", not fat.) You can see silver where the paint is worn off the boot on each side. I am probably a silver plated metal painted black. I have lovely glass eyes. I measure 3" high by 2 3/4" long.
