VIENNESE FLOWER GIRL ( Vienna Bronze Pug Dog ): This little girl pug is coming home from a meadow in the Austrian Alps where she has been picking a basket of flowers for her mother. I’ve taken a photo of the 5 colorful flowers she is carrying in her woven basket. They show the skill of the Viennese in casting in bronze such delicate things as flowers. You can see why pugs were commonly used doing human activities for the famous Vienna Bronzes. Their appearance just makes you smile. This is a relatively newly made bronze as shown by the acrylic paint – thus the low price. However they are still made from the same molds created in the early 20th century. This pug does not bear any hallmark which is not uncommon. Condition: Excellent. Size: 1 1/2” high, 1 3/8” wide, 3/4” deep.
