PUG ( Vintage
Vienna Bronze Pug Dog ): This old fellow will make a find start (or a fine addition) to your
Vienna Bronze Pug Band. He is playing his bass with great style. He is an old
Vienna Bronze – as opposed to the newer ones made with less quality in
the molding and brighter acrylic paint. Pug bands and pug musicians
became very popular in the 1920’s and remain highly prized. (See PB066
for a full 10 piece
Vienna Bronze Pug Band.) This one has a hallmark, which is photographed, but I
am not familiar with it. Condition: Excellent. Only a slight bow in the
bow. Size: 1 1/2” high, 1 1/4” wide, 1 1/2” deep.
