10 PIECE VIENNA BRONZE PUG DOG BAND: The Pug Maestro taps his baton to silence the yipping, yapping and pug snuffs and snorts for this great old pug band and vocalist (probably a tenor) to break out into a stirring rendition of "The Pug Marching Song" from Milo and Otis. It seems appropriate that the Viennese, famed for their music, should create this wonderful, whimsical pug motif which became very popular in the 1920’s and continues to hold the position of prominence in any collection of Vienna Bronze Pugs. When you click on the Maestro, you will see the rest of the band - the string section with violin and viola, the woodwinds with sax and clarinet, the percussionists - cymbals, triangle and big bass drum (with "Austria" on one side and a fleur-de-lis hallmark on the other) and, of course, the Austrian Alpine accordionist. Condition: Excellent. Only a few worn places consistent with its age. All the pugs are 1 1/2" to 1 5/8" tall. APPLAUSE PLEASE!
