Bronze Pug Dogs ):
These pug friends have spent a very long time together – probably over
100 years. In the 19th Century the Viennese Bronze artists
made their pugs (and other animals) very realistic. It wasn’t until
the early 20th Century that they started giving human
characteristics to their pugs. These three pugs – hooked at the hip
– have fine molding with pendants hanging from their collars. You can
tell they are solid bronze from their weight. Condition: Very good for
their age. No chips or cracks. There is some wear on their backs (from
being petted, no doubt) and the one on the right is leaning in. Size: 1
1/2” high, 2” wide, 1” deep.
