THE VIENNESE OLYMPIAN ( Vienna Bronze Pug Dog ): This intrepid pug is honing his skiing skills by swooshing down the Austrian Alps. You can see why pugs were commonly used doing human activities for the famous Vienna Bronzes. Their comical appearance just makes you smile. This is a relatively newly made bronze as shown by the acrylic paint. However they are still made from the same molds created in the early 20th century. The gold hallmark shown is FB within in a circular W, standing for Franz Bermann of Wein (Vienna). Condition: Excellent. Some paint is missing from the bottom of one ski. (No doubt from skiing!) Size: 1 1/4 high, 1 3/4 long, 1 1/4 wide.
