CONCERT PIANIST PUG ( Vintage Vienna Bronze Pug Dog Pianist & Concert Grand Piano ): WOW! What a find! I have a pug playing on a baby grand in my personal pug band, but I have never before seen this Vintage (early 20th Century) Virtuoso Pug Pianist playing his REALLY LARGE and REALLY GRAND Piano. For those of you who may be considering adding this piece to your pug band – be advised that this pug is larger (2 ¼” vs. 1 ½”-1 ¾”tall) than any of the pug band members that I have seen. Though not marked, you can tell from the fine detail of the molding (see pug’s back) and the type of decoration, that this piece is a vintage, rather than one of the mass produced new Vienna Bronze Pugs. Better yet – he is in remarkably good condition, with no significant loss of paint. Another unusual feature is that the pug has a large leaf under his right foot, providing him with a sturdy stance. The piano has wonderful detail – showing every white and black key – and a tune on the musical score (that I didn’t recognize). Condition: Excellent. Size: Pug - 2 1/4” high, 1 1/4” wide, 1 1/2” deep. Piano - 3 1/2” long, 1 7/8” wide, 1 3/4” high.
