OUCH! SAD-FACED PUG NAPKIN RING ( Vintage Pug Dog Figural Napkin Ring ): This vintage pewter pug is obviously suffering from his toothache. What is delightful about this little fellow is that we see that same sad-sack look on the expressive faces of our live pugs - particularly when we are leaving them at home. He is sitting next to a plain pewter napkin ring. These were in common usage to designate the family member’s napkin in the days when cloth napkins were used and re-used. This piece is probably from the early 20th century. Condition: Very good. The pug is in perfect condition, the ring shows some pitting. Pug - 1 1/2" tall, ring - 1 3/4" in diameter.
