THREE SMOKIN’ PUGS ( Pug Decorated Meerschaum Pipe ): I can just visualize the Victorian gentleman settling down in his favorite chair after dinner wearing his velvet dinner jacket - pug curled in his lap and smoking his favorite pipe which sports these three playful pugs. If you sniff the bowl of this pipe, you can still smell his flavorful tobacco. This pipe is made of Meerschaum - the perfect material for smoking and carving. Meerschaum is a mineral - magnesium silicate - that is light and porous, creating a cool and smooth smoke. The word is German for "sea foam". It is cream-colored and darkens with time. The 3 pugs are nicely carved with their facial features accentuated. The stem is made of amber. The pugs and pipe come with their customized chamois covered leather case labeled "Warranted Genuine Meerschaum". Condition: Excellent. Used, but not abused. The outside of the case shows expected wear with the hinges and clasp working perfectly. Size: Pipe - 4" long, bowl 7/8" in diameter. Area of pugs - 1 1/4" high, 1 1/4" long. Case - 4 5/6" long, 2" high.
