THESE PUGS ARE SMOKIN’ !: The owner of this Victorian Cigar Holder had to smile whenever he lit up. Who wouldn’t - looking at these 3 beautifully carved playful pugs frolicking right in front of you. The pugs are carved from Meerschaum - a mineral used to carve pipes for hundreds of years. They have aged to a lovely golden patina. Their faces have been realistically darkened. Each has a carved collar holding a small metal tag on a ring. The mouthpiece is made of amber. Part of what I love about this cigar holder is the teeth marks on the mouthpiece and the smell of tobacco still lingering in the holder. It allows us the pleasure of visualizing a Victorian gentleman enjoying his after dinner cigar with his live pugs resting on his lap. Comes with original case. Condition: Wonderful - all intact with the perfect signs of age and use. 4 1/2" long, pug area 1 3/4" long, 1 1/2" high - holder & pugs.
