RARE & DELIGHTFUL WRITER’S COMPANION ( Antique Silver Plated Pug Dog Inkwell ): This bright-eyed pug will break your writer’s block – or just be adorable to admire. He has a wonderful expression on his face as he chews his bone and wears his bib or napkin around his neck to prevent any dribbling down his front. He is a beautifully cast pug with his original sparkling glass eyes. Notice the great detail in his coat and teeth. Should anyone want to use him as an inkwell, he is fully functional with his removable glass ink holder. He has been well used over the years and there appears to be the residual of a lifetime of ink drainage down the front of his napkin. He is silver plated with significant wear giving him a wonderful aged patina. “JB 683” is stamped on the bottom. This is a real treasure for a pug or inkwell collector. I doubt that you will see another. Condition: Excellent, except for silver wear as noted. Size: 4” high, 5 1/2” deep, 5 1/4” wide.
