POSED LIKE A CHAMPION ( Vintage Bone China Pug Dog ). This fellow is unusually handsome, made of bone china – nicely molded and nicely decorated. I believe some former owner glued him onto the plaster base, made to look like a rock. I think it really adds to his presence. He does not bear a hallmark or sticker, but most of this style of Bone China pugs were made in Japan, during the “Occupied Japan” period (late 1940’s) – now very collectable. Condition: Excellent. There is a small area of glaze missing from his belly (see photo). It does not show from any normal view. Size: Pug - 4 1/2" high, 6 1/2" long, 2" wide. Base - 10" long, 4 3/4" wide, 7/8" high.
