AN EMBARRASSED PUG PUPPY ( Victorian Bisque Porcelain Pug Dog ): You can tell this darling Bisque Pug Puppy is very distressed about having to wear a muzzle out in public. As I understand it, pugs were as sweet and loving during this pug’s Victorian era as they are now. For a period in the 1900’s it was mandated that all dogs had to wear a muzzle when in public. Fine for pit bulls, but for pugs!!! Fortunately, he survived the indignity with unusually detailed molding and facial decoration for a bisque pug of this era. Condition: Excellent. No chips, cracks or repairs. The softer bisque porcelain is not usually found in this good a condition. Size: 2 3/4" high, 3 1/2" long, 1 7/8" deep.
