NOTHING LIKE A PUG AND A PIPE: You don’t have to be a smoker to appreciate this vintage porcelain ashtray sporting a charming pug dog and a pipe as a match holder. The bowl of the ashtray fades from a dark olive green in the front to a light green in back; the pipe has a gold band around the stem and the bowl; the pug is a pretty fawn color. There used to be a gold word in the bottom of the ashtray, possibly "Mars", but I can’t be sure. I think it is from the 1930’s. A great piece for a pug collector or a collector of smoking paraphernalia. Condition: Excellent. No chips, cracks or repairs. Only the wear of the gold paint, always found on old pieces. Size: Pug - 2 1/8" high, 2 7/8" long, 1 1/2" wide. Pipe - 4 1/4" long, bowl 1 3/8" high. Ashtray - 4 1/2" long, 3 1/2" wide, 3/4" high. Total height - 3".
