IT’S A DOG’S LIFE! ( Eve Pearce Porcelain Pug Dog ): You’ve all heard that saying - "It’s a dog’s life." If you are pug parents, like we are, you have to think to yourself - if only we could live our "dog’s life"! Eat, play, eat, sleep, eat, hugs, kisses, scratches and in between - lounging around the house on pillows like this wonderful "Pug on a Bolster" by Eve Pearce. You will all recognize this common pug pose of repose. I think Pearce is the finest porcelain dog sculptor of modern times. Of course, I particularly love her pugs. They are all just slightly caricatured, showing a bit of humor. She has been producing these gems for over 25 years. She molds them by hand in hard paste porcelain and hand paints them. No two are alike. You can see that this pug is signed and has felt pads on the bottom. Condition: Excellent. Size: 4 1/2" long, 2" high, bolster 3" long.
