QUEEN PUG ON HER THRONE ( Vintage Porcelain Pug Dog Trinket Box ): All pug owners are fully aware that we have royalty living with us. They simply allow us the privilege and pleasure of their company. Doesn’t this pug look like a queen or princess, seated on her plush light blue cushion? I don’t know her origin. She looks similar to the English Derby or Chamberlain Worchester Pugs, though I could find nothing exactly like her in my research books. I can say she was found in excellent company. She comes from the estate of an East Coast pug breeder and collector prominent in the 1970’s. She has no hallmark, but does have "223" impressed on the base. Condition: Excellent, but for feint wear on her red bells. She’s beautifully designed and colored. A wonderful and rare addition to any pug collection. Size: Pug 2 1/2" high, 2 1/2" long. Box 3 1/2" long, 2 1/4" wide, 1 1/2" high. Total height 4".
