Pug Figurines:
PP283
CLASSY
STAFFORDSHIRE PUG DOG #2 ( Victorian Staffordshire Porcelain Pug Dog ): This
English Porcelain Pug makes
a very nice match to the pug above – PP282. I’m selling them either
separately or as a pair because this one has a shallow chip in his left
haunch. As in the one above there is great
detail in the molding and decoration of this slip cast (hollow) pug. He
dates from the late Victorian era, wearing the classical golden bell
decorated collar. Though he is of medium quality compared to the fine
Dresden and Meissen Porcelain Pugs, he is a step above most of the pugs
of his time. He has a very light fawn colored coat – lighter in color
than the one above. Condition: Very good. He is priced lower due to the
chip in his right haunch, seen in photo of that area. Some of gold paint
missing from bells. Size: 5 3/8" high, 4 3/4" long, 2
3/4" deep.
Please
note: Makes lovely Pair of Staffordshire Pugs with PP282, just
above.
Buy
both for a good bargain.
