COME PLAY WITH ME! ( Eve Pearce Porcelain Pug Dog ): With very few exceptions, I collect and sell only vintage and antique pug figurines, but one of those exceptions is Eve Pearce. I think she is the finest porcelain dog sculptor of modern times. Of course, I particularly love her pugs. They are just slightly caricatured showing a bit of humor. This slightly overfed pug (aren’t most of ours) is sitting on a dark green platform, probably grass, by his (or her) favorite red ball, waiting for you to throw it. You can see the eager look on his face with his ears perked expectantly. Eve has been producing these gems for over 25 years. She molds them by hand in hard paste porcelain and hand paints them. No two are alike. Her hallmark is pictured on back of the base. The bottom is covered with dark green felt. Condition: Excellent. Size: 2 3/4" high, 2 1/8" wide, 2 1/8” deep.
