AND MY TEDDY BEAR ( Eve Pearce Porcelain Pug Dog ):
Doesn’t this darling pug just tug at your heart strings? He is so
happy playing with his favorite Teddy Bear. Eve Pearce, my favorite
contemporary porcelain pug sculptor, has a knack for catching our pugs
in these delightful moments. I love it that Eve’s pugs are all slight
caricatures and show a bit of humor. She has been producing these gems
for over 25 years, but collectors buy and hold them – so they are
difficult to come by. Her skill is obvious. She molds them by hand from
hard paste porcelain and hand paints them, so each of her pieces is
unique. This piece contains her hallmark. Condition: Excellent. Size: 2
3/4” high, 5 1/2” long, 3 1/2” deep.
