THREE OLD BISQUE BUDDIES ( Antique Bisque Porcelain Pug Dogs ): I find that the smaller pugs in my display cabinets often get lost among my larger pugs – so I like to make little “families” of them. These three old bisque pugs are a perfect example - with the standing and small sitting pugs wearing royal blue collars with golden bells, contrasting with the bright red collar with golden bells worn by the larger sitting pug.  They make a wonderful grouping. Bisque porcelain has only had its initial firing – giving it that “soft” appearance – almost like a pug’s coat of hair. On the negative side, the lack of a hard glaze makes them more subject to damage. It’s great to find three in this good of condition. They are eager to find a new home. Condition: Excellent. There are some dark areas seen mainly at the base of the tail and the front feet of the standing pug. Some wear of the gold from the bells. Size: Standing pug 2” high, 2 1/4” long. Larger sitting pug 2” high, 2” long. Smaller sitting pug 1 1/4” high, 1 1/2” long.
