QUEEN OF THE PUGS ( Eve Pearce Porcelain Pug Dog ): I don’t offer many Black Pug Figurines, but for those of you who have, or love, Black Pugs – this is a beauty. She is a nice sized pug with a beautifully detailed face, majestically posed on a glorious matte gold fringed cushion – or what I prefer to call her throne. Eve has outdone herself with the fabric of this cushion. It has a glowing deep cherry red background decorated with stylized flowers consisting of rich wine colored swirling petals around pinkish centers. The blossoms are surrounded by jet black stems and leaves. I have shown Eve’s hallmark on a close-up of the cushion for greater appreciation of it. I know different computers display colors differently, so I have done my best to describe them. The contrast between the black pug against her opulent cushion is just STUNNING! This pug is large enough for a stand-alone display, if you like. Pearce’s pugs are made from hard paste porcelain, not from molds, but modeled by hand – so there are no two alike. Yours will always be unique. Condition: Excellent. Size: Total height 4 ¾”. Pug 3 ½” high. Cushion 6” by 6” square, 1 ¼” high.
