SANTA PUG ( Eve Pearce Porcelain Pug ): It is only appropriate to have a Pug as Santa Clause. After all, they do give and give – just like Santa – joy, pleasure, happiness, comfort and love – all unconditional. And Eve’s idea to make this a black pug to contrast so beautifully with the red Santa suit was inspired. This is the first time Eve has ever made this Christmas model pug - created for Time Dances By. I don’t know if she will make more or not, but your Santa Pug is certainly the first – and maybe the only! Please notice the golden cord on the fancy red collar, the golden bell at the tip of the cap and the fluffy fur around the opening of the cap. (How in the world does she make porcelain look fluffy?) And also notice that this pug has a fat belly to match Santa’s. “He had a broad face and a little round belly, that shook when he barked like a bowlful of jelly.” I don’t buy many black pugs because I have so much trouble capturing their facial features. I was more successful than usual in this case and you can see what a precious puggie face he has. Eve has been producing these little masterpieces for over 25 years. She molds them by hand in hard paste porcelain and hand paints them. You can see your pug is signed by Eve and there are felt pads on the base to prevent scratches. Condition: Excellent. Size: 4 ˝” high, 3 ˝” deep, 3” wide.
