‘TWAS THE NIGHT BEFORE CHRISTMAS ( Eve Pearce Porcelain Pug Dog ): This pug is faithfully “guarding” his family’s Christmas Tree (in typical pug fashion) in hopes of catching Santa coming down the chimney. Since he has been a very good pug, he knows Santa will be bringing him some toys and pug treats. As you can see, Eve has created yet another small magical masterpiece with the Christmas Tree decorated by a big red bow and ribbons, along with several large lovely golden globes. The deep green branches of the tree are amazingly delicate and realistic. The pug’s parents have him wearing his special red Christmas collar with its golden buckle. Pearce’s pugs are made from hard paste porcelain, not from molds, but modeled by hand – so there are no two alike. Yours will always be unique. You can see Eve’s hallmark on the back edge of the base. There is a felt pad on the bottom to prevent scratching.
