IVORY BOTANICAL GARDEN ( Victorian Carved Ivory Jewelry Bracelet ): This intricately carved Victorian Bangle Bracelet is stunningly beautiful. The work of a master carver, every leaf and flower is rendered perfectly. Featuring large roses - the favorite flower of Victorians - huge chrysanthemums, daisies, ferns, leaves, flower buds and blossoms in unending profusion. A fantasy garden of delight. Not only a bracelet, but a true work of art. Carved in China for the European Trade c. 1860 - 1880. Wonderful patina reveals all of the levels of carving. Some of the stems and branches are completely unsupported! Fits a small or medium wrist. Condition: Excellent. No breaks or chips. 1 1/2" wide, 1/8" thick, 2 1/2" inner opening.
