ELEPHANT WALK ( Vintage Ivory Jewelry Bangle Bracelet ): From my personal collection of Vintage Carved Ivory, I am offering this dynamite hand carved bangle. (c. 1940) This is pre-ban Ivory that I bought at an antique show at least 20 years ago. There is a herd of seven elephants walking through a jungle of trees. At the center a mighty bull elephant faces us head on – defending his females and their babies. The herd marches completely around the bangle in a never ending parade of majesty. One of the full bodied pachyderms has its trunk lifted in the air. Ivory and ethnic combined never lose their exotic appeal. Ivory carvings of this depth and variety have become increasingly difficult to find at an affordable price. This Vintage bangle mixes well with other bangles or stands alone as a smart and seductive work of art. Condition: Excellent. Size: 1 ¼” high, inner opening 2 ½”, over ¼” deep carving. Fits a small wrist.
