CROSSES AND LOSSES: A delicately carved Ivory Victorian Mourning brooch depicting a cross surrounded by stems of forget-me-nots. An exceptional, finely detailed, carving of the rough hewn wooden cross contrasts with the dainty blossoms and buds on the stems of flowers. A carving of wonderful grace and harmony full of sweet sentiment. The language of the flowers speaks of loss and remembrance. Pin back has a gold C clasp. Condition: Flawless. 2" high, 1 3/8" wide.
